Closure of A431 – amended diversion route
February 25, 2014 // Rachel Ellis
A number of signposted diversion routes will be in place during the road closures for Sunday’s race. Unfortunately the designated diversion route to the north of the city has been affected by the closure of the A431 near Kelston due to subsidence. A similar problem arose a few years ago when this same road was closed for engineering works.
We have been working with Bath & North East Somerset Council’s highways team to ensure an alternative route via the A420 will be signposted to and from Lansdown Road, westbound onto the A420, southbound onto the A4174 to the Hicks Gate roundabout, in both directions.
