Join the African Initiatives team, run in orange and make a difference in the fight for global equality!

African Initiatives is a small, Bristol-based international development charity, with particular expertise working with the Maasai and other pastoralist communities in northern Tanzania. In partnership with eight local organisations, we give marginalised people a voice so they can fight for the rights they deserve but do not have: A right to an education. A right to health. A right to stay on ancestral land. A right to financial stability.

Go orange for Bath Half! Join the African Initiatives team and help us continue to change the lives of vulnerable women, children and people living with HIV or a disability. In return, we’ll give you everything you need to help you prepare for the race day:

  • – A free branded orange t-shirt
  • – Tips to help you with your fundraising, including a fundraising pack and regular emails
  • – Training advice to help keep you on track as you prepare for the big day
  • – Refreshments and cheering on the event day
  • – Being part of a small yet friendly team

Every £1 you raise will make a big difference! For example, £1 could test a primary school pupil for HIV and £12 could pay the school fees for a girl to attend secondary school for a month.

If you are interested in joining our team, we would love to hear from you so please contact our Fundraising Officer Holly Burchett on 01179 166 474 or [email protected]
