Bath RAG (Raise and Give)  are the fundraising group of the Students’ Union that fundraise for local and national charities.  This year RAG have chosen four local charities to support including The Forever Friends Appeal, CLIC Sargent, The Trauma Recovery Centre (Bath) and the Bath Rugby Foundation. Bath RAG offers engaging and exciting fundraising events to students such as the Zombie Apocalypse, taking part in a Sleepout, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and hitchhiking across the UK!

This year marks an exciting and landmark year for RAG and the University of Bath as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary. To mark this special occasion RAG will be joined by members of staff from the University of Bath, the student Volunteering Team (VTeam) and Team Bath. V Team Student Volunteering  are the community volunteering group that run a range of activities to benefit members of our local community including a Children’s Christmas Party, Community Ceilidh, Spring Party and Age UK Sunday Lunch among many other projects. This year all money raised by V Team runners will go to the charity ‘Cry in the Dark’, which supports a Romanian hospice caring for orphans.

The Department of Sports Development and Recreation at the University of Bath manages and organises a range of activities under the University’s sports brand – Team Bath. This year money raised by Team Bath runners will go towards Zambia IDEALS. International Development through Excellence and Leadership in Sport (IDEALS) is a UK Sport programme, delivered in partnership with University of Bath and two Zambian NGO’s Sports in Action & Edusport.
