Join the DEBRA team and help us fight EB.

DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which causes the skin to shear off at the slightest touch, leaving agonising open wounds. EB also affects the internal linings of the body causing problems in the eyes, oesophagus and internal organs. It can lead to aggressive skin cancer in teenagers and in the worst cases, can be fatal. There are at least 5,000 people living with this devastating condition in the UK and 500,000 worldwide. DEBRA focuses its work in two areas; the charity provides specialised healthcare in four centres of excellence across the UK, including Great Ormond Street and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, support to individuals and families living with EB and funds pioneering research to find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for EB.

Wear our DEBRA running vest, access expert fundraising advice and training tips and enjoy the support of our cheering teams on the day! Your support can really make a difference to our quest to one day find a cure for EB.
