The Golden-Oldies Charitable trust was launched in the Bath and North East Somerset area in January 2008 by Grenville Jones.  The charity started with 4 singing sessions in sheltered housing community rooms.  Since then, it has grown to over 60 across the West of England and South Wales.  It has enjoyed huge media attention and has been featured on BBC, ITV and Sky News.

Our Patron is Sir Cliff Richard who takes a keen interest in our work.

Hundreds now look forward to their regular Goldies sessions, and each session holds many smiles and so much laughter.

By running for our charity you can help to keep these singing sessions going for some of the lonelier and more isolated people.  The money you help to raise will help us to continue the well loved sessions and keep making a difference to the lives of older people.  Your support and any sponsorship raised makes a huge difference and what a great feeling to be a part of that.

Maureen from Portishead wrote to tell us how much she loves her session
.“Since I joined Goldies it has changed my life completely. It’s given me something to look forward to, to have a good sing-song and meet lovely people. We’re just like one big happy family.”

George from Swindon said; ‘It’s helped to get my voice back. We sing the good old songs we know. It’s such good fun, we have a laugh & a joke, if only the time didn’t go so quickly. The people that come here thoroughly enjoy it & they sing their hearts out. It makes the week for us. It sure beats being stuck in all the time just watching the television.’
