We are glad that you have joined us to create a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.

Meningitis and septicaemia are diseases which kill and disable in hours. While anyone of any age, anywhere in the world can get the diseases, babies, toddlers and young adults are most at risk.

In the UK, there are 3,400 cases every year, throughout the world hundreds of thousands of people are affected – millions in epidemic years.

Thousands of people are dying; many more are living with life-altering after effects like amputations, deafness and brain damage.

MRF is tackling the problem on three fronts:

  • Funding research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia;
  • Raising awareness and providing life-saving symptoms and treatment information;
  • Supporting those who have been bereaved or who are struggling to come to terms with the after effects.

We urgently need your help so we can continue delivering our vision of a world free of meningitis and septicaemia.  We want to fight these diseases across all continents for the benefit of all people around the world.

You can help MRF create a world free from meningitis and septicaemia straight away by running the Bath Half Marathon for us on Sunday 1st March 2015, for more information visit our website or contact Esther Trackman on 01454 280415 or email.

Thank you
