Be Inspired. Be inspirational. Run for your Community

About Transition Bath

Transition Bath is a community-based charity run and managed by volunteers. Our aim is to create a sustainable communities in the face of climate change and dwindling resources. We do this through taking practical action through visible projects that provide community benefits. These have included a community supported agriculture project – Dry Arches – in Bathampton; now its own social enterprise serving Bath with local organic produce, an edible flower bed; ‘vegmead’ – in Hedgmead park, providing the local community with free vegetables, a nuttery in Smallcombe, as well as the recent launch of our own community energy company; Bath & West Community Energy and the local currency – the Oliver. Why Run for Transition Bath?

We are looking for a small group of individuals to come together to go on a local running adventure – transition style. Be that you want to run your personal best, have never ran a half marathon or even ran before, or want to get involved in something local, dress up and run as a carrot or wind turbine this will be an experience that you will remember for many years to come. Its a running adventure that starts here today and can last for as long as you dare to dream.

Our aim is to inspire our local community to go outside, run, walk, cycle and see this beautiful city and what it has to offer and celebrate with a finale of the Bath Half. To do so we are looking for people like you to take part in our adventure and share your experience with others.

We have a limited number free places up for grabs and are looking to raise £1,000 in total. We ask that each participant is willing to do their upmost to fundraise, makes a contribution donation of £30 and shares at least a weekly blog entry.

How to Apply?
