Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. As a federation of over 220 organisations, we provide more than 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across the country.

Domestic abuse can affect anyone and has long-lasting effects on those who experience it.  It’s not just physical violence – it often involves bullying, controlling, coercive behaviour, and sexual and financial abuse.

On average, two women are killed each week by their partner or ex-partner in England and Wales.

Our work is life-saving. We help hundreds of thousands of women and children each year escape and recover from abuse.

Our campaigns achieve change in policy, practice and awareness. Our training and educational projects encourage healthy relationships and our range of online services, which include the Survivors’ Forum and The Hideout, help hundreds of thousands of women and children every year. We are helping to build a future where domestic abuse is no longer tolerated and we can only do it with your support.

So re-unite with your running shoes, and join #teamwomensaid! For the 4.6million women who have experienced domestic abuse, your support is life changing.

“The Bath Half has always been something I’ve wanted to do but nothing has made me want to run it as much as this charity (and also a very persuasive friend). To raise awareness and money for a charity that saved my friend.” – #TeamWomensAid runner

“I loved running for Women’s Aid. It was great to support a charity that would truly appreciate every penny raised. I’m passionate about women being able to truly flourish and not having to live in fear. So I’d encourage anyone who feels the same to consider raising money for this vital cause.” – #TeamWomensAid runner
