Vitality Bath Half Newsletter - Fun Run Information
With less than 48 hours to go before you embark on your 2015 Vitality Bath Half Marathon Fun Run, here’s some final information for runners. We hope you have a fantastic event and achieve whatever you are after on Sunday. After 12 months in the planning, and one week building on site, the management team and our army of 750 volunteers are looking forward to welcoming you on race day.
The weather forecast is unsettled with showers and strengthening wind, so runners and spectators should dress accordingly. We recommend bringing an old hoodie or long-sleeved T shirt to keep you warm while you wait for the start.
If you have any further queries please check out our website or catch-up with us on Twitter or Facebook.

You should have received your race number in the post in advance of the day. If for any reason you haven’t received it, visit the registration tent upon arrival to be issued with a new number.
Fun run entrants are asked to assemble at the end of Edward Street next to the barriers before the main half marathon start at 11.00am. You’ll be able to watch the Half Marathon start from here before being walked to the Fun Run start by marshals.
You will be starting and finishing under the official Bath Half gantry in Great Pulteney Street. The fun run course itself is approximately 1 mile long and completely traffic-free. You will run the first 1/2 of a mile of the half marathon course down Pulteney Road as far as North Parade Road, before turning back and running back again! Remember to keep aware of other runners and pace yourself, but above all have fun!
Remember that Fun Run children under the age of 11 years must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult. Parents of unaccompanied older children must ensure their children are accompanied to the start area and MEET AT THE FUN RUN EXIT IN THE RUNNERS VILLAGE. Please allow plenty of time to make your way round to the Fun Run Exit, remembering that the roadway in Great Pulteney Street is closed to pedestrians.
Bottled water will be provided after the finish.
Find a map of the course here.
The official charity of the Family Fun Run is Jamie’s Farm. If you haven’t got round to organising your fundraising then it’s not too late. Visit the website for more information.
