GENERAL INFORMATION :

Changes for 2016

Following the recent highways alterations in Widcombe Parade we are introducing one change to traffic arrangements for the 2016 race :

Widcombe Parade.  Whilst the course route road closures are in place between 09.45 and 15.30hrs approx the traffic flow on Widcombe Parade will be reversed, to allow all north westbound traffic (coming towards Widcombe) down Prior Park Road and down Widcombe Hill to be diverted westbound along Widcombe Parade, along Claverton Street, and southbound up Wells Road out of the city.  Parking will also be suspended on Widcombe Parade to allow temporary stops for local bus services and to ensure no contra-traffic.

Oldfield Park.  Contrary to earlier advice, the parking restrictions in Oldfield Park will be required again, unchanged from previous years, to provide an access route for local bus services on diversion during the course route closures.

Wells Road.  The northbound carriageway (for traffic coming down the hill into the city) will be closed as in previous years, but the southbound carriageway (for traffic travelling up the hill away from the city) will remain open throughout the event.

Otherwise arrangements for the Bath Half Marathon will be unchanged from recent years.
