Title partner helps runners with fundraising efforts
March 12, 2019 // Andrew
Bishop Fleming, the title partner for the 2019 Bath Half Marathon has pledged to help 20 Bath Half runners with their fundraising efforts by giving them a chance to win £100 for their chosen charity.
The leading Bath-based accountancy and advisory firm, which is celebrating its centenary in 2019, will have its own team of 120 runners taking part in the Bath Half event – officially the largest participation by a corporate partner in the history of the event.
Having set an ambitious fundraising target of £100,000 in 2019, the firm has also created a £2,000 fund, which it will allocate to the charities of 20 of runners.
Andrew Sandiford, Managing Partner of Bishop Fleming who is also running the Bath Half on the day, said:
“We are thrilled to support the Bath Half and want to really show the local community that we are genuinely committed to giving something back. So instead of using our marketing budget on cheap giveaways, we’ve simply decided to give it away.
That way, we can have a bigger impact supporting runners who are raising money for good causes. Together with the monies our 120 runners raise I believe we will raise a significant amount for charity through our sponsorship of the Bath Half.”
To be in with a chance to win £100 for your chosen charity you must be a registered runner in 2019 Bath Half, raising money for a registered charity.
All you need to do is share a selfie on race day over social media with details of which charity you are running for and why, using the hashtag #BF100.
20 lucky winners will be randomly drawn out of the hat by the organisers of the Bath Half after the race and £100 donations will be made to each winning runners’ charity by Bishop Fleming after the event.
