GetPRO Bath Half named as the official British Athletics trial race
The 2025 GetPRO Bath Half will host the official British Athletics trial race for the 2025 World Athletics Road Running Championships Half Marathon.
Athletes who have run faster than 65 minutes (male) and 74 minutes (female) in the past two years can apply now for an elite entry to be part of the trial race which will be part of the sold-out 2025 GetPRO Bath Half on Sunday 16 March.
UK Athletics will confirm its full selection criteria for the 2025 World Road Running Championships, including qualifying times, in the coming weeks.
The 2025 World Athletics Road Running Championships will be held over three days in San Diego in September, with the half marathon bringing down the curtain on a weekend of elite running on Sunday 28 September.
Athletes wishing to apply to be included in the official trial race should email LME’s Head of Elite Athletes, Spencer Barden, or UK Athletics’ Tom Craggs by Friday 28 February 2025.
All invited British elite athletes must be eligible to compete for GB & NI on the day of the race (Sunday 16 March 2025).
The GetPRO Bath Half will also include an Elite Age Group category for the UK’s best veteran runners in age categories 40 and above. Interested athletes must have run the qualifying times set out below at an event on or after Monday 1 January 2024. The entry fee is £25. Applications close at 17:00 on Friday 31 January.
