Whisper is a small but very high-impact Somerset-based charity that funds a children’s hospital, a maternity ward, a free ambulance and a nursing school in Jinja, Uganda, near the source of the Nile. We achieve all this on an annual donation budget of around £250K. Every £22 donated allows us to treat a child, an average that includes some lengthy inpatient stays. We estimate that every £279 donated saves a life that would not otherwise have been saved.
For our charity places in the Bath Half we’d like you to donate or commit to raising at least £200 for us, but we don’t charge a registration fee. We offer an individual running vest with a wide range of colours to choose from, and practical help with fundraising.
