Friends of Wheels for All (B&NES)

The Friends of Wheels for All Bath&West is a supporters and fundraising group made up of users and family members of users of the Wheels for All Bath&West inclusive cycling project that’s based at Odd Down sports ground.

Wheels for All Bath & West helps children and adults with health, learning and social and sensory needs to enjoy cycling opportunities.

A grant of £500 has been awarded to support the provision of indoor cycling for our riders using the Wheels for All collection of adapted bikes, trikes and hand cycles.

During the winter, the weather means it’s not possible to hold as many sessions at the Odd Down sports ground and these sessions will encourage users to continue to be active during the colder months.

People with additional needs face challenges in terms of engaging in sporting activities – this inclusive cycling group helps beneficiaries maintain levels of physical activity and helps promote health and wellbeing and can also help reduce social isolation.
