Ethiopiaid is a Bath based international development charity. Established in 1989 by Sir Alec Reed CBE, following his first visit to Ethiopia.  He saw what many people might expect – widespread hardship, suffering and poverty – but he also saw passion, knowledge, and ambition amongst the Ethiopian people.

Continuing Sir Alec’s mission to enable local communities to achieve their potential, we work with our Ethiopian partners to: empower women and girls, increase access to quality education, improve maternal health, treat facial disfigurements, help the elderly and rehabilitate children & young people living with disabilities.

Through our partnerships, we reach out to the most marginalised and disadvantaged members of communities giving people the skills, resources and confidence to improve their quality of life and create self-sufficient futures for their families.

If you would like to find out more about the work of Ethiopiaid, please have a look at our website: www.ethiopiaid.org.uk

Registration for the 2019 Bath Half Marathon is now open and we are looking for runners to join the Ethiopiaid team.  Help us raise money to support more families and communities in Ethiopia ! Below is a selection of what we can offer our runners:

– Dedicated fundraising support

– An Ethiopiaid running vest

– A goody bag

– Cheering support on race day and come and meet the team at our stand in the Runner’s Village

If you are interested in taking part, we would love to hear from you so please contact Anna Lord, Partnerships Fundraising Manager on 01225 476 385 or email anna@ethiopiaid.org.uk to book your place.
