Make a difference with your Bath Half place

For the last few months you’ve probably been dragging yourself out for a run, whilst others have slept, or stayed on the sofa. You’ve been soaked through, frozen solid, and up to your knees in mud. You’re probably knackered and your knees might hurt too, and we bet that you’re really sick of washing your running kit!

We wanted to say that you make us feel really proud – every day we see more and more runners pounding the pavements and lanes in and around Bath. It’s our favourite time of year – we love seeing you all preparing for race day.

What also makes us feel proud is seeing all your fundraising posts on our social media feeds. So many inspirational stories, so many superb causes, and so much effort being put into collecting those pennies and pounds. Thank you to you all.

In 2017 our official race charities raised a record £2.25 million pounds and we would love to beat that again in 2019. Our entrants raised over £1.6 million pounds in 2018, despite the event being cancelled – is that a world fundraising record for an event that didn’t happen ?

Race pack information

Remaining race packs, including most charity entrants, and Family Fun Run entrants should arrive by 4th March.

Race packs are posted in batches according to designated start bays (determined by estimated finish times) and postcode. So runners who entered at the same time, or from the same address may not necessarily get their race pack on the same day.

Please CONTACT US using our website form if your race pack has not arrived by 4th March.

When your race pack arrives please check that the race number printed on the outside of the envelope matches your race number and the envelope containing your timing chip inside your race pack, and get in touch if it does not.

 

Changed your address ?

If you’ve moved house since registering your race entry and you didn’t notify of your change of address before the 10th December (when our data went to our mailing house), it’s now too late to arrange delivery to your new address.

You can now do one of four things: arrange to collect your race pack from your old address, or have it redirected to your new address, or arrange for us to post you out a new replacement race pack at a charge of £10 (rising to £15 on 14th March), or you can collect a new race pack on race weekend (at a charge of £15).

Feeling under prepared ?

With 4 weeks to go until the 2019 Bath Half, we know that many of our runners are feeling the pressure of getting race fit in time for the big day.

Perhaps you’ve been unwell recently, or you’ve been suffering with a niggling injury, or maybe your training just hasn’t gone to plan and you aren’t as prepared as you’d hoped to be.

Fear not HERE ARE SOME TIPS to help get you to the start line – and safely over the finish line – on Sunday 17 March.

 

Race weekend accommodation

If you’re planning on staying in Bath overnight we recommend you book your accommodation up as soon as possible – hotels and B&Bs are always very busy over BATHALF weekend.

The VISIT BATH WEBSITE site is a good place to look for accommodation in Bath.

If you can’t find suitable accommodation in Bath, there are a number of budget hotels in neighbouring Bristol very close to Temple Meads railway station, which is only a few minutes train journey from Bath Spa station, which is 10 mins walk to the Runners Village.

 

Bath Racecourse PreBookable Park & Ride

Save the worry and hassle of getting to the start on time by pre-booking your parking and coach shuttle service at Bath Racecourse.

£7.50 price per passenger includes on-site parking, pre-booked seat on our coach at a set departure time (city centre drop off close to race start), return coach ticket,warm waiting area with toilets, on-site refreshments available to purchase.

Select from four pre-booked departure slots: 8.00am, 8.45am, 9.30am plus a spectator only bus at 10:15am. Return shuttles will run continuously between 14:00 and 17:30.
