Our crew and contractors are now on site at the Runners’ Village working flat out to make sure you have a brilliant race day. We can’t wait to see you all here on Sunday morning!
This year’s official Family Fun Run charity is Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. We have included some information below from this fantastic charity and also about our official Vitality Bath Half fundraising partner JustGiving , which you can use for any last minute fundraising.
The latest race day news can be found on our website (there is also a mobile site for any of you using smart phones on the day – http://raceday.bathhalf.co.uk/). Any urgent announcements will be put on this site and also our Twitter and Facebook pages.
Wishing you all the best for a great race day!

Not long until Family Fun Run Time! For the first time ever the event will help towards vital research into children’s cancers through your fundraising for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. We really appreciate your support and wish you the best of luck for event day! Look out for our mascot ‘the shoe’ at the start line and we look forward to seeing you there and at our marquee for a drink and nibbles afterwards.
Despite improving survival rates, cancer is the leading cause of death in children, teenagers and young adults. Make your Family Fun Run count and raise money to find new, better and kinder treatments. It’s not too late to give your fundraising a big push before event day.
Every step you take, big or small, will help us beat cancer sooner.
| || What happens on race day? |
The Family Fun Run starts after the start of the Half Marathon. Family Fun Runners need to assemble in Edward Street. You’ll be able to watch the Half Marathon start from here before being walked into the fun run start by marshals. You will find venue and route maps in the fold out Race Day Guide in your race pack.
Remember that Fun Run children under the age of 11 years must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult. Parents of unaccompanied older children must ensure their children are accompanied to the start and met at the Fun Run exit in the Runners Village after they have collected their goody bag. Please ensure an adult is there ready to meet them.
The best place to watch the Family Fun Run is the south side of Great Pulteney Street near the Holburne Museum end. This is close to the start assembly point in Edward Street, and easy to get to the Fun Run exit in the Runners Village, via Edward Street, Pulteney Mews and the turnstile gate, without having to try and cross the road or go the long way round Grand Parade, North Parade and the Sports Centre.
