BATHALF Entrants newsletter - 14 March
With just 3 days until race day our crew and contractors have been battling the stormy weather and we are pleased to report the site build in the Runners Village is progressing well.
We are glad to see the forecast is currently for better weather on Sunday. But we suggest runners be prepared in case it’s wet or cold, and bring an old hoodie with you to keep you warm and dry before the start which you can drop on the side of the start pen and our contractors will collect for recycling by British Heart Foundation. If you don’t have an old hoodie, pop into your local charity shop and buy one !
Also be sure to pack a warm top in your kit bag to pop on after the finish.
In the meantime we’ve got some more news to share with you about our new tracking App and last minute charity fundraising tips
All the best
| || Tracking App |
This year we are introducing a free downloadable App allowing supporters to track runners’ progress around the course and predict estimated finishing times using additional intermediate chip timing points at 5km, 10km, 15km and 20km.
This is a trial of new technology specifically designed to cope with the 2-lap course at the Bath Half, and dependent on availability of internet access.
The Active Experience App features an interactive course map for your friends and family to track your progress around the route and can be downloaded via the links below:
Google play – Active Experience App
iTunes – Active Experience App
The mile and 5km markers will be on the left kerb on the first lap as you run, and the on the right kerb on the second lap.

| || Win £100 towards your charity fundraising |
Bishop Fleming, title partner of the Bath Half, has pledged to help 20 runners with their fundraising efforts by giving them a chance to win £100 for their chosen charity. Celebrating it’s centenary this year, Bishop Fleming has set an ambitious fundraising target of £100,000 in 2019, the firm has also created a £2,000 fund, which it will allocate to the charities of 20 runners.
To be in with a chance to win £100 for your chosen charity, all you need to do is share a selfie over social media with details of which charity you are running for and why, using the hashtag #BF100.

When it comes to maximising your fundraising, every share counts. We know that most successful fundraisers share their page more than 15 times so JustGiving have developed Shareables to help fundraisers create engaging and personalised content to promote their page – from milestones to thanking, there’s something for every fundraiser.
