All the best
| || Running for charity |
We are very proud that our race is the biggest single day fundraising event in the south west (second only to Glastonbury festival) and we love that our runners choose not only to run 13.1 miles, but that they also manage to raise staggering amounts of money too. The charities are a massive part of race day, offering so much support to our runners, and we are delighted that Cancer Research UK will be our Lead Charity in 2017. If you’re thinking of fundraising in 2017, please consider raising money for one our race charities. You can find out more about Cancer Research UK and our other featured charities on our website.
Our 2017 Featured Race Charities are:
Cancer Research UK – lead charity
Dorothy House Hospice Care – local charity
Laureus Sport for Good Foundation – official Vitality Run Series charity
Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens – family fun run charity
| || It’s time to get those trainers on! |
With six months to go until race day, our race director Andrew recommends that runners, especially those taking on their first half marathon, get their training started sooner rather than later. Preparing for race day slowly and steadily is much better than training in one unpleasant dash in the final few weeks! Read his tips to get your training underway here.
| || New partnership with JustGiving |
We are excited to have partnered with the world’s leading online fundraising platform JustGiving. Our charity partners are the heart of our event, and we’re proud to be one of the top three fundraising road races per head in the UK, which is an impressive achievement for a city the size of Bath. Through the partnership with JustGiving, our mutual ambition is to maximise fundraising for our charity partners, and to smash all previous fundraising figures at the 2017 race.
