2021 Bath Half Update

We have been developing flexible plans for next year’s race incorporating a range of possible options – including reduced entry numbers, alternative course routes and social distancing – to ensure runner and public safety

We will be opening entries for 2021 shortly…

How did you travel to the 2020 Bath Half?

This year we have been working with The Greener Festival organisation (‘TGF’) to help us develop our sustainability policy and outcomes

If you attended this year’s event as a runner, volunteer or spectator please fill out our simple 5 travel question questionnaire

Sustainability Update

Zero waste to landfill and a plastic free event, the Bath Half had its most sustainable year to date

Replacing plastic bottles with tap water and compostable cups – courtesy of our partner Wessex Water – was rated 67% ‘Excellent’ to ‘Good’ in our post race survey, with 45% of respondents telling us you brought your own refill bottle to the event, and 90% of runners regularly using a refill bottle during your training

There is still much more to do as we work with event partners and partner events to make the Bath Half one of the most sustainable running events in the country

2.6 Challenge

Thanks to all of those who got involved in the 2.6 challenge. The £11 million raised by this virtual event, organised by the UK’s leading running events – including the Bath Half – will help support charities effected by the COVID-19 pandemic
