The Bath & North East Somerset Carers’ Centre supports people in our community who give up their time and energy to look after family members or friends, perhaps because they have a physical disability, mental health problems or are elderly. We offer advice, emotional and practical support as well as breaks away from the challenges of the caring role.

We believe no one should have to care on their own. If you run for us, you can help us reach carers in desperate situations in need of advice, a break or some emotional support. Like Kelly, who has helped care for her sister, who has a disability, since she was five. When her mum became seriously ill and hospitalised at Christmas, 18 year old Kelly became the primary carer for her mother and sister.

“Mum spent a month in the Royal United Hospital and it was difficult to see her so poorly. As well as cooking Christmas dinner for the first time by myself, I had to look after Mum and Holly. But the Carers’ Centre helped me cope and gave us a hamper of lovely treats, and my turkey tasted great!” Says Kelly.

By taking part in this fantastic run for the Carers’ Centre you will help us to continue to provide our vital services to look after children, young people and adults who are carers like Kelly.

We’ll support you throughout the fundraising process and on the day itself! We can help you set up your fundraising page and get you a Carers’ Centre t-shirt. We’ll also be there on the day at our Lower Bristol Road centre as you run past to cheer you on.

Our fundraisers are our heroes so we hope to see you on our team! To secure one of our guaranteed places or if you already have a place but want to fundraise for the Carers’ Centre, contact us on 01761 431 388 or
