The NSPCC’s vision is to end cruelty to children in the UK.

We know that around one in five children has been severely abused or neglected in childhood. That’s nearly one million children. It may be hard to spot those who have been abused. Most won’t have told anyone. They smile and laugh but carry their burden around with them – unspoken, unseen, unhelped.

Watch this short film to find out more about the impact abuse can have on families and how the NSPCC can help.

The NSPCC is the only major charity solely focused on preventing the abuse of children. We campaign to bring in better laws and services to protect children. We provide national helplines that any child or adult can call anytime and anywhere for immediate help and advice. Over half a million contacts are made to our confidentialChildLine service every year and our NSPCC helpline service provides advice and support to over 35,000 adults.

We can only do all this because of the generosity of our supporters. Join us for the Bath Half Marathon 2014 and help us continue to be there for children across the UK. We’ll be there to support you every step of the way, with expert training advice, fundraising support and fantastic cheering and post race hospitality on the day!

We’d love to welcome you to our Bath half marathon team, so if you have any questions, please contact the NSPCC Running Team on 0844 892 1119 or by email.
