Angela MacAusland, a UK Athletics CiRF Qualified Running Coach based in Bath.

Angela works with runners of all abilities and ages and has helped many get started on their running journey, as well as helping many runners achieve specific race time or distance goals.

She really enjoys being able to see people achieve actual results even from their first Coaching session and loves to see new runners gain confidence with every step.

Angela only discovered running in her 40’s when she started running for her own fitness and mental health.  Angela started with a Couch to 5km programme at first, then progressed to 10km and half marathon races (Bath Half Marathon was her first) and she completed her first full marathon just over a year later.  In the 13 years that she has been running Angela has completed 4 marathons and over 50 half marathons – including Bath Half 9 times.

Angela is also Head Coach and Club Director of a small, friendly running group called Run Bath – which was originally set up to help runners train for Bath Half Marathon – but the club has evolved to offer weekly group runs for runners of all abilities.  Since starting Run Bath in 2015, Angela and her team of Run Leaders, have helped many thousands of runners train for local, national and international races – not just Bath Half.

Angela’s other roles include Run Ambassador with Sweaty Betty Bath and Bath Rugby Foundation and now writing monthly blog posts for Bath Half Marathon -but her main focus in her role as a Running Coach.

Angela says ‘Everyone I Coach is different, and every Coaching session, training programme and plan I create is unique to each individual person – I put a lot of time and effort into my role – it is very rewarding and I am so lucky that my job is also my hobby, my vocation and my passion’

When Angela isn’t running, leading club runs or Coaching – she finds time to working on writing her first book – aimed at the ‘Everyday Runner’ – simple yet effective tips to learn how to run ‘Further, Faster, Longer, Stronger’.
