Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal

Here at The Grand Appeal, the official Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, we are committed to saving the lives of sick children and supporting their families.

We created Cots for Tots in 2010 to support and raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol.

Together, we have one vision for the future: to ensure every sick child and baby from across the South West has access to the very best care, 365 days a year.
From helping staff, patients or their families, we put Bristol Children’s Hospital at the heart of everything we do.

We support the hospital through:

Family accommodation: we run three accommodation houses that provide a safe and supportive place for families to stay while their child is in hospital.
Medical research: we invest in medical research programmes to ensure the hospital remains a hub of innovation, where everyday experts pave the way for sick children through a network of projects with international impact.
Equipment: we fund state-of-the-art equipment to save lives.
Music, play and art therapy: our music, play and arts programme can be seen in every ward at Bristol Children’s Hospital, helping young children to deal with the stresses and fears they may face during treatment.
Art enhancements: we work to make sure Bristol Children’s Hospital provides a fun, stimulating and comforting space for the brave children it cares for.
The Grand Appeal’s Patient Hotel: our groundbreaking new outpatient facility will allow sick children to finish their treatment in a home-from-home instead of a hospital bed.
